1. Get to know your coworkers

2. Have an open-door policy
This is another good tip for those who work in a legal office. Rather than closing yourself away by shutting your door, try to make an effort to keep it open—unless you really need to concentrate.
3. Join community groups
If you have the opportunity, go out into the community and involve yourself in groups, special events, etc. This could be anything from organizing a brown bag lunch or a meetup group of like-minded people.
4. Exchange business cards and follow up
